Coaching with Alma

What is coaching and how does it work?

I describe coaching as an ongoing confidential conversation between two people who trust and respect each other. Coaching works on the understanding that we have the resources we need within us, but that we also need some outside support to help us access them, to facilitate our progress. I will support and challenge you. You can use me as your sounding board to discuss, ideas, options and possibilities. I will observe your current way of being and ask powerful and incisive questions to help you create new perspectives and access solutions.

I will listen to your concerns, to what your soul is yearning for and the goals you want to achieve. Taking time out to explore issues, plan goals and think aloud with a coach is a very powerful process.

We will create some actions for you to practice between coaching sessions. Behaviour doesn’t change unless we develop new practices.

The International Coach Federation (ICF) has this definition of coaching:
